To the Editor:

As a resident of the 64th District, I am elated that Rex Alphin is running for a seat in the House of Delegates. I have known Rex all of my life. We were classmates throughout our school years, and have continued our friendship for over 60 years. Rex’s true colors of compassion, loyalty, commitment, and perseverance were noted in his early years and are still very strong qualities in his life today.

I am totally convinced that Rex is the BEST candidate to serve the people in the 64th District. Here are 10 reasons why we should ALL vote for Rex Alphin:

1. Rex is a devoted Christian man. He is an outstanding church worker and is compassionate about his faith and “walking the walk.”

2. Rex is a lifelong citizen of Isle of Wight County. He has invested economically in the county and has farmed the land for over 40 years.

3. Rex is a successful business man. He has owned three small businesses in the 64th District.

4. Rex has experience in our local government. He has served on the Isle of Wight Planning Commission, as well as 6 years on the Board of Supervisors.

5. Rex is huge supporter of our educational system. He will work tirelessly towards the advancement of all facets of our schools’ needs and concerns.

6. Rex is pro-life.

7. Rex is a firm believer in the 2nd Amendment.

8. Rex is ready to tackle the concerns and issues of balancing the state budget, cutting wasteful spending and keeping Virginia taxes among the lowest in the nation.

9. Rex is a “people” person. He has an infectious personality and a listening ear to all who approach him with concerns as well as positive feedbacks.

10. Rex is a born leader. He has proven his ability to be successful in his personal ventures as well as his involvement in our local government and community.
