To the Editor:

I was very upset about the recent letter criticizing our RiverKeeper. I think anybody who knows him will support me when 1 say we are very fortunate to have him performing environmental and cleanup tasks on our Blackwater and Nottoway rivers.

Being a longtime resident and knowing him as a child, he does an outstanding job and has done so for many years. I compliment him for his service.

We are thankful for his past service and hope he will continue. The river sanctuary is a beautiful, quiet and peaceful place that he and Moonpie do their best to improve.

He deserves our continuing support.
