CARRSVILLE — Bobby Lee Tyree, 83, passed away on June 13, 2017, in his daughter’s home after a long illness.
Bobby was born in Rockbridge County, and was a son of the late Emmett Lloyd Walker Tyree and Lula Duff Tyree. He was also predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Butler Tyree; a brother, Billy; a sister, Gale; a grandson, Dean Tyree; and a great-grandson, Blake Beaty.
He had retired from W.R. Grace Company, and was a former member of Carrsville Fire Department and Blackwater Hunt Club.
Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Joshi (Phil Black) of Carrsville; two sons, Duane Tyree (Cathy) of Jamestown, Tennessee; and Jerry Tyree (Leslie) of Newsoms; four grandchildren, Sandy Beaty (Michael), Ryan Joshi (Kacy), Chris Joshi (Mariah) and Davey Tyree; three great-grandchildren, Brycen, Brayden and Finley; two sisters, Dorothy Bailey of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and Patty Smith of Utah; and his beloved dog, Sophie.
The family would like to give special thanks to dear friends, Kim Davis and husband Mac.
The graveside service will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Curtis Faison officiating.
The family will receive friends after the service in Sherry’s house at 30199 Hunt Club Road, Carrsville.
