IVOR-Thurman E. “Blue” Holloman died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at his Ivor home.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Gilfield Baptist Church, 9040 Doles Road, Ivor, followed by burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of James and Yvonne Uzzle, 35093 Brown Ave., Ivor. Crocker Funeral Home of Suffolk is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Holloman retired after 36 years at Gwaltney of Smithfield.

Survivors include his wife, Eva F. Holloman; two daughters, Yvonne Uzzle of Ivor and Thelma Brown of Portsmouth; a sister, Geraldine Newby  of Smithfield; a brother, Earl Holloman  of Smithfield; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
