Armed robbers hit local 7-11

The Isle of Wight County Sheriff’s office is investigating the early morning robbery of the 7-11 store located on Carrsville Highway, in the Camptown section of the county. This information comes from Lt. Tommy Potter, spokesman for the sheriff’s department.
On Thursday at 03:41 a.m. two black males entered the store, both displaying handguns and demanded money from the clerk on duty. After getting the money from the register they fled on foot. It is believed that they may have had a car parked nearby.
Both suspects had masks covering their faces and were wearing mostly black or gray clothing. One suspects was carrying a black backpack.
