FRANKLIN
A 37-year-old Baltimore man was shot while outside in the ‘H’ section of Dorchester Square Apartments early Saturday morning. This information comes from Capt. Tim Whitt, spokesman for the Franklin Police Department.

An unknown suspect approached the victim and fired several times striking him in the right buttock and lower left leg, the suspect then fled.

The victim, who was reported to be intoxicated and uncooperative with investigating officers, was transported to an area trauma hospital for treatment.

Thirty minutes prior to the shooting reported at 12:59 a.m., officers had responded to the apartments for a reported fight, but none was observed; however, officers dispersed a large crowd of approximately 60 people. It is unknown if the two events are related.
