COURTLAND
The Virginia Department of Transportation has announced that the consecutive, alternating lane closures on U.S. 58 near the Courtland Interchange will continue for the week of Sept. 18-22 as follows:

• The section of U.S. 58 between Old Bridge Road (Route 742) and Shady Brook Trail (Route 650) will have alternating closures starting at 6 p.m. Sept. 18 and ending no later than noon on Sept. 22.

• The section of U.S. 58 between Old Bridge Road (Route 742) and Meherrin Road (U.S. 58 Business) will have alternating closures starting at 7 a.m. Sept. 18 and ending no later than 8 p.m. Sept. 22.

The closures are to accommodate work on the Courtland Interchange project. Closures will affect all lanes eastbound and westbound. One lane will remain open at all times.
