FRANKLIN
As a way to promote both health and quality family time, the Hallowellness Fun Walk for Families has been organized and scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 28. This free event is sponsored by the Southampton Memorial Hospital Rehabilitation Services Department at 210 Fairview Drive in Franklin.
Dr. Dan Hoctor, director of rehabilitation, confirmed the event is presented as a way to promote well being.
This is not a fundraiser and there’s no fee or registration required. Just show up at 10 a.m. Walking begins at 10:15 a.m. and the path is to the James Camp YMCA and back. Completion is anticipated sometime from 10:45 to 11 a.m.
Afterward, refreshments and a tour of the facility will be offered.
Fairview Drive will be blocked from Crescent Drive to the entrance of Southampton Orthopedics. Area residents affected are asked to note that vehicular traffic along the route will be restricted, and their patience is appreciated.
Children — and adults — can also use this as a dress rehearsal for Halloween as costume dress is encouraged, but optional.
