Barbara Jennings Clapp

FRANKLIN — Barbara Elizabeth Jennings Clapp, 73, passed away on Feb. 20, 2018, in her home.
Barbara grew up in Manchester, Massachusetts, and had been a former resident of Denver, Colorado.
She was a daughter of the late Joseph Hugh and Ruth Maria Lund Jennings.
Barbara was an active member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, a member of the Franklin Garden Club and the Southampton Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, baking, hiking, gardening and her pets, especially Lucy.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 39 years, Dr. Henry Woodard Clapp; stepdaughter, Susan Bredenhoeft (Scott) of Centennial, Colorado; stepson, Stephen Clapp (Amy) of Denver; two sisters, Evelyn Bamford of Connecticut, and Marian Jennings and husband, John Orefice, of Pennsylvania; niece, Sarah Tibbetts and husband, Peter, and children, Abigail and John; niece, Anne Smith and husband, Scott, and children, Emma and Chamberlain; nephew, David Bamford and wife, Kathy, and children, Jason, Caroline and Jennifer; and special family friend, Donna Rogers of Saugus, Massachusetts, and her family.
The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, in Emmanuel Episcopal Church with the Rev. Marjorie Holm and the Rev. Edmund Pickup officiating.
