Woodland Road to close for bridge work

FRANKLIN
The Virginia Department of Transportation plans to close State Route 682 (Woodland Road) in Southampton County at the bridge over Darden Mill Run starting on Monday, Feb. 26, to replace the bridge.

According to Nina Napolitano, spokeswoman for VDOT, a signed detour will be in place and crews plan to reopen the road no later than Friday, March 9.
