From the six countries of Europe on Wednesday at Busch Gardens, it was back on the road again on Friday, traveling north to Kings Dominion. Because of its size and attractions, the park is classified as Virginia’s premier amusement park. Located north of Richmond, the 400-acre park consists of 60 rides and 13 roller coasters. It also has a 20-acre water park which includes a wave pool.
Strangely, for a Friday, the lines were short on many of the major rides and the youth were able to capitalize on it and almost go back-to-back on rides. Added to this luck was nice weather that was not too hot. This all totaled to a good fun day for the group from Franklin.
The Franklin Summer Super Jam program is sponsored by the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Virginia and the Franklin Department of Parks & Recreation.
