National Fire Prevention Week was Oct. 7-13. On Oct. 9, Ms. Tina’s storytime friends had the opportunity to read about fire trucks, learn about fire safety and explore a real fire truck.
Lt. Doug Bailey with the Courtland Volunteer Fire Department arrived at Walter Cecil Rawls Branch with Engine 43. Patrons were excited to climb into the fire truck, try on the helmet and see the flashing lights.
“Thank you to our friends at the CVFD for taking time to visit our library and keeping our community safe,” said Tina Bradshaw.
