The Britches & Boots 4-H Horse Club has been busy over the last couple of months. The club kicked off the new 4-H year, which begins on Oct. 1, with our meeting and new year party. Everyone enjoyed socializing, pizza and drinks.

In our November business meeting, the club planned our next fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Tractor Supply in Franklin. The club will be selling baked goods from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., and from 1 to 5 p.m., Santa photos for your pets, family and friends. Shawn Hutchinson, Tractor Supply store manager, is volunteering his time as photographer again this year. The club enjoys partnering with Tractor Supply for what has become an annual event. We have so much fun meeting your pets for Santa photos.

Please come visit with us and learn about our club, enjoy some baked goods, meet Santa and have your photo taken. Photos can be purchased with cash or check made to VCE Southampton County with Britches & Boots 4-H Horse Club in the memo. Thank you for your support the Britches & Boots 4-H Horse Club.

On Dec. 8, some of our club members will travel to Virginia Tech to attend a horse judging clinic.

Club members are looking forward to our meeting and party on Saturday, Dec. 15. They planned a party with pizza, drinks and cupcakes to celebrate the holiday season and a Secret Santa gift exchange.

We will also be collecting peanut butter and jelly for our service project for Cooperative Ministries. Britches & Boots 4-H Horse Club members enjoy the many activities 4-H has to offer and you can too.
