Willie Randolph Jones Sr.

FRANKLIN — Willie Randolph Jones Sr. of College Drive departed this life and transitioned to eternal rest on Feb. 19, 2019, while a patient in Courtland Healthcare Center.
He was born on Dec. 14, 1948, in Southampton County, Virginia, to Philip and Missouria Powell Jones.
Willie was a member of Vision Church International Ministries, where he served on the usher ministry.
Willie was employed with Union Camp Corporation in the Lumber Division for 38 years and retired in May 2009.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Hattie Whitehead Jones.
He is survived by sons, Willie Randolph Jones Jr., and Frankie Whitehead (Patricia); daughter, Carolyn Whitehead Brown; sisters, Dorothy Ashburn (Charlie), Irene Matthews (Theodore), Lorraine Bynum (Larry), Celester Robinson (Andrew); brothers, Roscoe E. Jones and Cleo Jones (Brenda); seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
The service honoring his life will be at noon on Saturday, Feb. 23, in First Baptist Church, 318 Hall St., Franklin, with Pastor Stanley Jones III, delivering the eulogy; the Rev. Dr. D. Shawrod Riddick II is host pastor.
Willie’s remains will rest in church for viewing by 10 a.m. The committal and benediction will be in Southview Cemetery.
A service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St.
