This business knows a thing or two about service

To the Editor:
In the May 23 edition of your paper you printed a letter from Tommy Lindsay of Wakefield regarding the loss of customer service in America and the good service he got from Chilton’s Auto Service in Suffolk.
Perhaps customer service is not as lost an art as one might think. I believe that if more of us were as quick to offer a compliment as we are to register a complaint, we would find that there really are more good businesses out there that care about their customers.
Last year my husband and I had a list of small repairs that needed to be done around our home. I placed numerous calls in an effort to find someone willing to do the work. Several businesses never even returned my calls; one stated that he was not licensed to do some of the work we required, some thought the job was too small to bother with; one other thought the job was too large for him to handle since he worked alone.
Then someone suggested that we call Brad Jarrett of Jarrett Builders in Capron. He and his crew were able to take care of all the jobs we wanted done at a reasonable price. Our deck was much stronger after they repaired it than it was when it was originally built.
In addition to doing excellent work, all the workmen were pleasant and careful not to do any damage to flower beds while they did their work.
When we needed more work recently, we didn’t have to wonder who to call.
And I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
