Eddie Lee Blow

FRANKLIN — Eddie Lee Blow of Pocahontas Avenue departed this life on March 3, 2019, while a patient in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
He was born in Franklin, Virginia, on Aug. 29, 1944, to Eddie Stephens and Daisy Blow.
Eddie graduated from the Newport News Public School System. During his working years, he was employed with Newport News Shipbuilding and Drydock as a calibration technician. After 44 years of service he retired in 2011.
Eddie was predeceased by his parents and wife, Lucy Mason Blow.
He is survived by two daughters, Shonna Blow Rawlings and her husband, the Rev. Alvin Rawlings, and Tenachia Watson; one son, Devon Blow; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
The celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 9, in Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1071 Carrsville Highway, Franklin, with the Rev. D.A. Manley delivering the eulogy; the Rev. Alfred D. Brown Sr. is the host pastor. The committal and benediction will be held in Southview Cemetery.
The traditional service with dignity will be performed by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home Inc., 224 S. Main St.
