SkillsUSA Chapter wins at state competition

The SkillsUSA Chapter at Southampton High School attended the State Competition held at the Virginia Beach Convention Center April 12-14. SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. Through the Southampton High School Career and Technical Education classes in Trade and Industry, the SkillsUSA students were recognized for completing workforce readiness programs and placing in many competitions.

We would like to recognize our newly elected state officer, Isabel Lindsey at large. She will receive her office at nationals.

Rita Yeary was recognized at states for Region 2 advisor of the year. Also, she was awarded a Golden Eagle and will compete with four other regions for National Advisor of the year in Louisville, Kentucky, at nationals.
