Hermer Hope Faircloth

MADISON, Va. — Hermer Hope Faircloth, 78, of Madison, VA, formerly of Ivor, VA, went to his heavenly home on Sunday, August 11, 2019.
He was the son of the late John Thomas Faircloth Sr. and Hope Stephenson Faircloth, and was also preceded in death by his stepmother, Martha R. Faircloth; sister, Annie Betty Bailey; and brothers, Allen J. Faircloth and John T. Faircloth Jr.
Left to cherish his memory, are his wife of 52 years, Joanne Myers Faircloth; daughters, Melinda Geer (Steve) and Aimee Morehead (John), all of Madison; Christy Lynch (Jim) of Suffolk, VA; Nancy Dozer (Tommy) of Temple, GA; and JoAnne Joyner (Len) of Zuni, VA.
He was a loving “Papa” to his grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Selma Graves of Richmond, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private graveside service was held on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery, Aylor, VA.
