Habitat ReStore plans anniversary

Southampton/Franklin Habitat for Humanity will celebrate its ReStore’s 10th anniversary from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today, Sept. 18. People are invited to stop by at 109 W. 1st Ave.,, and join in the festivity. There will be light refreshments served, as well as a mug and book giveaway Guests may also register for a chance to win a gift certificate.

In addition, Christian author Cornelia Jude will be on site to sign copies of her book, “Mended Faith,” and some of the proceeds from book sales will go to Habitat.

Sandy Kirkland, vice president of Habitat, stated that when the board “embarked on opening a ReStore, we wondered if donations would come in and if customers would shop. Thanks to our customers and the donations of many, the ReStore has been very successful in providing money for the building of several homes in the county and the City of Franklin.”

She also invites people to come by, enjoy a cookie, meet store manager Frank Rickman and also let the ReStore employees show what they have to offer.
