I recently had the experience of being a patient in our Southampton Memorial Hospital, and I want to go on record as reporting that I had what I considered great service.

The doctor was very open-minded and thorough. The staff, including the respiratory therapists, the food service people, the nurses and all those who stuck by me all day and night, were very friendly. They were willing to transport me to a larger, urban hospital if the circumstances warranted. But after a week they considered me fit to go home, and I was glad of it.

I’m thankful that we have such a good medical facility in our community.
