FRANKLIN

While on patrol in the South Street area at 8:53 p.m. on Sunday, a Franklin officer was flagged down by two residents who reported hearing gunshots. According to department spokesman Sgt. Scott Halverson, officers canvassed the area and were unable to locate any evidence of shots fired. The investigation is ongoing and there are no suspects at this time. No one was injured.
