I had the distinct pleasure of supervising and working alongside of Tommy Potter while he was stationed in Jalalabad, Afghanistan. He was one of the team leaders assigned to the region that mentored police officers and advised the commanders (up to Chief of Police level) in all aspects of how to run a police department (covering administration, finance, investigations, operations, and personnel) in a very hostile area. Tommy is a nature leader that is well respected by all who come in contact with him. He is one of the most intelligent men I have had the pleasure to work with over the last 21 years of my career and he excels in every task. He is level headed under pressure and diplomatically finds solutions to tough problems. When I heard he was running for Sheriff, I knew I wanted to tell potential voters exactly the type of leader they will be getting if they vote for Tommy Potter.

In conclusion, as a former Chief of Police, United States Contingent Commander, Chief Investigator, Special Agent with the DEA, and Senior Law Enforcement Advisor to the Inspector General working in Liberia; I can genuinely say Tommy Potter is one of the best I have had the privilege to work with in my entire career. Vote Tommy Potter for Sheriff of Southampton/City of Franklin, if you want proven law enforcement leadership that cares for the needs and rights of the people and his employees.
