Welcoming another Little Free Library

Thanks to the work of the Virginia Farm Bureau Women’s Committee earlier this week, residents in Ivor won’t have to travel quite so far to check out books. They can simply go to the Little Free Library at the playground beside the town hall to browse and borrow from whatever might be available. Naturally, lending is encouraged.

We don’t know who exactly came up with the original concept, but we salute their forward thinking in coming up with the concept.

Already there are Little Free Libraries in Sedley and in the Boykins/Branchville area because of other people. But, as mentioned above, we know the members of the women’s committee are behind the most recent local project and we join others in thanking them most sincerely.

Local civic and social groups are strongly encouraged to establish a Little Free Library in their respective community.

Ask any one who loves reading, there cannot be too many libraries or books.
