Some firefighters from Capron Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department came to the elementary school in town. They spoke to the children about fire safety and showed them the different equipment on a fire truck used during emergencies.
Each child received a souvenir fire helmet and stickers to take home. Classroom teachers received coloring books to share with their students.
Here, Capron firefighter Phillip Ferguson poses with Capron Elementary students Shaelyn Artis, C.J. Bazedanes, Jasion Taylor, Elizabeth Barham, Raylen Doughtie and Chyah Anderson as he demonstrates the importance of a firefighter’s turnout gear for protection
