No weapon found on student

COURTLAND

A report of a Southampton High School student having a weapon caused the facility to be locked down shortly before noon today, according to an update from Supt. Dr. Gwendolyn Shannon to parents and the community. She added that the student had been searched and no weapon had been found.

The Southampton County Sheriff’s Office is on the premises.

Shannon also stated she would inform the public when the lockdown is lifted.
