On Wednesday, the teachers and students of Nottoway Elementary School learned in a hands-on, unique way as they celebrated Global School Play Day. The initiative centers around the skills children acquire through play. Children are encouraged to use their imaginations and to be creative without the use of electronics, screens, or toys with batteries of any kind.
This year, over 550,000 students in 75 nations participated in Global School Play Day. Way to play, Nottoway.
Second grade students, Noelani Sterling, Sawyer Cornwell, Eden Creef, Kylie Gale and Elizabeth Collins play a game together as they sharpen their fine motor skills.
