It was Senior Night in the Peggy Wilkens Gym at Franklin High School on Monday. But at the final horn of the game, the visiting Lady Eagles of Greensville High School were on top with a score of 60-40.

The first quarter opened with both teams tied at 13 all. The Lady Broncos led briefly 15-13 in the second quarter. But the Lady Eagles opened up the scoring then to take a 26-22 lead to the locker room at the half.

As the final statistics are reviewed, the Lady Broncos had their hands full with one player, Sanjah Robinson. Robinson scored by quarter, 13, 8, 11, 13 points.

“We did not play well to the best of our ability and Greensville came in and played very well. We are missing one of our main defensive players, who is out with an injury, and my new girls just couldn’t hang onto Sanjah Robinson,” said Franklin High School Lady Broncos Head Coach Mona Sumblin.

In scoring, the Lady Broncos were led in scoring by Jamia Flythe with 27 points.

The Lady Eagles also had one player in double figures, Sanjah Robinson with 42 points.
