FRANKLIN
In response to the economic distressing period most small business owners are currently experiencing, Franklin Southampton Economic Development Inc. (FSEDI) has created the Marketing and Fixed-Cost Grant Program. This grant was developed in financial partnership with the Franklin Southampton Charities and the Camp Foundation in order to help with the real-time needs of the local business community.
The Marketing and Fixed-Cost Grant program is a reimbursable grant created to assist for-profit businesses with a brick-and-mortar location in either the City of Franklin or Southampton County. A business can request up to $3,000 in assistance to cover fixed-cost expenses (rent, power bill, etc.) or any marketing efforts. Applications for the grant are open from 9 a.m. on Monday, March 30 through 5 p.m. on Monday, April 13. Program funds are limited and issued on a first-come, first-served basis. The application link can be found on both the FSEDI website and Facebook page.
If approved, FSEDI will email the business requesting the receipt of the payment. The receipts for reimbursement must be submitted by Tuesday, June 30. If you have any questions, call FSEDI staff at 562-1958.
