Give three cheers for the Town of Ivor and Community Electric Cooperative. Within the past week or so, each has established ways for people to stay connected by offering access to its WiFi, which in turn enables one to log onto the internet … and beyond.
Mayor Tara Kea stated recently the service is free, and all that’s needed is for people to park their vehicles on the municipal grounds at 8430 Bell Ave., and access the program. Choose Town of Ivor-guest and enter Covid-19 as the password.
In Windsor, CEC’S place to connect is at the parking lot on 52 W. Windsor Blvd. The hot spot is labeled Community Electric WiFi and does not require a password. Though free, the service is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. CEC asks that people park only in designated parking spaces.
We hope that other townships and businesses are able to provide similar services to area residents for the duration of the pandemic. In turn, such courtesy merits gratitude with thanks and, where possible, patronizing businesses.
