Two members of the Courtland Youth Athletic Association have been honored for their dedicated service to CYAA.

Lance Simms, the organization president stated, “Volunteers are such a critical component for organizations and Courtland Youth Athletic Association is no exception. Due to the COVID-19 situation, we were unable to have this celebration at one of our ballgames as planned. However, that does not diminish the amazing dedication and commitment that both Mark and Ann Pierce have for our community’s youth.”

Simms noted that Mark serves as vice president on the CYAA board, and Ann has volunteered countless hours over the years. Their children, Austin and Wesley, have not only played for Courtland, but also volunteered numerous hours at the park working and/or coaching.

“CYAA would not be what it is today without Mark and Ann’s servant nature and generous hearts,” Simms concluded. “We thank them form the bottom of our hearts.”
