RICHMOND

Gov. Ralph Northam recently announced additional appointments to his Administration.

Among them is Vernie W. Francis Jr. of Courtland, a retired sheriff for Southampton County.

Francis was reappointed to the State Board of Local and Regional Jails.

Reappointed to the Peanut Board are:

• J. Andrew Darden of Carrsville, Row Crop and Cattle Farmer, Corrowaugh Farms Inc.

• John Crumpler of Suffolk, owner, RCR Farms Inc.
