ZUNI – David Gray Webster Jr., 79, passed away on Jan. 23, 2021, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Born on Oct. 5, 1941, in Bluefield, West Virginia, he was the son of the late David Gray Webster Sr. and Kathleen Garland Webster.

Left to cherish his memory are his best friend and beautiful wife of 58 years, Barbara Webster; a daughter, Melinda Webster “Mindy” Paschal and her partner, Scott Fleming and his daughter, Tevis; two beautiful granddaughters, Shana P. Councill and her husband, Wade, and Lyndsey P. Hewitt and her husband, Ryan; four special great-grandchildren, who he loved to see and play with, Emma and Pace Councill and Landon and Rylie Hewitt; and finally his four-legged best friend, Neko.

David worked 40 years on the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. He was an honorary member of the Walters Hunt Club and a long time fisherman. He loved keeping his yard cut and clean.

Memorial services will be private.
