The students from Jennifer Graham’s fourth grade science class at Meherrin Elementary School recently had the opportunity to conduct an experiment at home during her lesson about friction.

Using found items, the students constructed a ramp, then lined it with various types of materials from wax paper to sand paper. The students then rolled a car down the ramp to document the amount of friction they observed and charted it from least to greatest.

The school would like to give a shout out to all of the students who participated and to Graham for continuing to make learning fun.
