Dorothy Pearl Jones
SUFFOLK – Dorothy Pearl Jones, 91, went to be with her Lord on March 9, 2021. She was a daughter of the late Essie Paramore Purdy and William A. Paramore Sr., and was predeceased by a son, Randy Wayne Howell.
Dorothy formally attended Berea Christian Church in Driver, and worked at Birdsong Peanuts as a peanut sorter.
She is survived by her son, R.A. Howell Jr. (Nancy); daughter-in-law, Linda Sue Howell; stepdaughter, Frances Bunch; grandsons, Keith Howell (Corey), Chad Howell (Darla) and Ryan Howell; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Lois King, Geraldine Matthews, Linda Smith and W.A. Paramore Jr.
A graveside service will be conducted by the Rev. W.A. Paramore Jr. on Sunday, March 14, at 2 p.m., in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 13, from 6 to 7 p.m., in the R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory, 509 W. Washington St., Suffolk, VA 23434.
