CAPRON
Learning sight words is fun when you are in kindergarten at Capron Elementary School. Students in Mrs. Holland and Mrs. Cook’s classes used Play-Doh to help form the letters to spell their new sight words for the week.
There are many benefits of playing with Play-doh. It helps to develop fine motor skills building strength in their tiny hands to develop the muscles that are useful in holding pencils and scissors.
Hand-eye coordination is also enhanced as the children manipulate the Play-Doh to create the letters to fit on the premade forms. The students had a blast learning their new sight words that will help them to become fluent little readers.
