ZUNI – Avis Lowe Story, 87, widow of Elliott Linzy “Tink” Story, passed away April 30, 2021 in The Village at Woods Edge. Born in Southampton County, she was a daughter of the late Modica Hawkins Lowe and Mamie Drewry Lowe. She was also predeceased by two daughters, Valerie Story Morris and Wilma Bishop-Powell, a sister, Virginia Munford and a brother, Robert Lowe.

Avis was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory is a son, Douglas Elliott Story and his wife Pam; two sons-in-law, Allan Morris and Norris Powell; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 3 in Black Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Black Creek Baptist Church.
