Three members of the Franklin City School Board were reappointed to serve new three-year terms beginning July 1.
A Franklin City Public Schools news release first noted that Marchelle F. Williams was reappointed to the Ward 4 seat.
Williams was a part of the reconstituted board of 2016 and was reappointed in 2018. Her reappointment allows her to serve another three-year term.
“Marchelle is a professional in mental health, and she brings those skills in that area to our board,” School Board Vice Chair Robert Holt said during the Franklin City Council public hearing June 14.
Jerry McCreary was appointed a year ago to the Ward 6 seat. He fulfilled an unexpired term, and this will be his first three-year term.
“Jerry is a computer guru and has been a real resource in technology issues,” Holt said.
Carrie Johnson was reappointed as the at-large member. She was initially appointed in 2018, and this will be her second term.
“Carrie is a teacher in the criminal justice system and a parent. I highly recommend reappointment of all three of these,” Holt said.
