COURTLAND – David Wayne Brown, 67, passed away Sept. 19, 2021 in his home with family by his side. Born in Norfolk on Nov. 28, 1953, he was predeceased by his stepfather that raised him, Rudolph Emerson Delfenthal.

David was an Army veteran and a mechanic. He was a collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia and all things Snap-On Tools.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 38 years, Sandra O’Berry Brown; his mother, Eva Mae Smith Delfenthal of Chesapeake; two daughters, Bonny Lucasti Bracy (Kevin) of Sedley and Shannon Brown of Ohio; a son, Randy Brown of Ohio; a sister, Lynette Conaway of Chesapeake; a brother Rudolph E. Delfenthal Jr. of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, Alex M. Dunlow, Lyndsay N. Dunlow, Autumn Shearer and Jaden Shearer; and two great-grandchildren, Jayce and Tobias Dunlow.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Darwin Edwards officiating. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to any favorite charity.
