Capron Elementary School is always excited when Southampton County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Gwendolyn P. Shannon drops by the school, a CES news release stated. Shannon, accompanied by CES Principal Dr. Allison Francis, recently greeted children arriving at the school. Pictured above, Abigail and Andre Gonzalez are thrilled to see an extra happy face welcoming them to school as Shannon stands on the far right next to Francis. Shannon also visited the classrooms to observe the educational strategies being practiced by the teachers at Capron. Officials concluded the release by stating, “We all appreciated Dr. Shannon’s visit to check on us and genuinely show care for the job we do each day to educate our future generation of leaders.”
