COURTLAND – Monet Dale Gay, 65, passed away Oct. 27, 2021 in VCU Hospital. Born in California on Aug. 14, 1956, she was the daughter of the late Paul Elmo Wood and Bertha Gertrude Marsh Wood. She was also predeceased by two sons, Jason Douglas Stiller and Ronald Lee Gay Jr. and two brothers, George William and Ernest Allen Wood.

Monet was a graduate of Tidewater Community College, a U.S. Air Force veteran and a homemaker.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ronald Lee Gay Sr.; two daughters, Penny Leigh Raiford (Casey) and Jessica Stiller Dunkley (Scott); a son, Douglas Edward Stiller; and eight grandchildren, Carlie, Faith, Hannah, Ronald III, Ava, Elena, Kaley and Jason.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6 in Holly Lawn Cemetery with Dr. Lawrence Randall officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 in Wright Funeral Home and suggests that memorial donations be made to her husband, Ronald Gay, 22170 Southampton Parkway, Courtland, VA 23837.
