CHICAGO, Illinois – Broderick Adé Hogue of Chicago, Illinois suddenly and tragically departed this earthly life on Oct. 29, 2021. Broderick was born to Benjamin Hogue and Vanessa Matthews Hogue on March 22, 1989 in Halifax, Virginia.
Broderick was a graduate of Erwin High School in Asheville, North Carolina. Later, he attended and graduated from UNC-Charlotte where he was awarded the honor of Distinguished Alumni. Upon graduation Broderick relocated to Chicago to pursue his career.
Broderick was a man with many talents, he participated in motivational workshops and taught classes at DePaul University. He was affiliated with Target, Out Cold, Nike, Mercedes Benz of Chicago and Alaskan Airlines.
Broderick is survived by his parents, Benjamin Hogue and Vanessa Hogue; two siblings, Breanna Matthews, Zenovia Hogue; his grandmother, Irene Matthews; aunts, Jean Hogue, Sylvia Hogue, Sherry Tucker, Shirley Hogue; uncles, Alonza Matthews (Carlene), Theodore Matthews Jr., LaVar Matthews (Kia), Cecil Hogue (Diane) Ernest Hogue (Dorraine); other loving relatives and many friends.
A celebration of Broderick’s life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. in Apostolic Faith Church of God, 608 Oak Street, Franklin, with Pastor Stanley Jones III delivering the eulogy; Overseer Ronnie Warren is the pastor. The committal and benediction will follow in Southview Cemetery.
