DREWRYVILLE – Ronald Lynn Welcher, 58, passed away Dec. 1, 2021 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in Halifax County, he was a son of the late Floyd Calvin Welcher and Jean White Landrum Welcher.

Ronald was a graduate of Danville Christian School and Danville Community College. He received his graduate degree and his MBA from Averett University. He had previously worked as a manager for World of Sports in South Boston before becoming a purchasing agent for Disston Corporation and WABASH Inc. Ronald was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church.

Left to cherish his memory is his partner of 15 years, Douglas Scott Claud and a brother, Michael Welcher and his wife, Denise and their family.

Services will be held at a later date. The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Thomas Memorial Baptist Church or the Drewryville Memorial Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 57, Drewryville, VA 23844.
