FRANKLIN – Elder Eunice W. Dickerson of Franklin, answered the call to claim her eternal rest and peace on Jan. 1, 2022 in East Pavilion. She was born in Gates, North Carolina on April 8, 1930 to Arthur and Lou Della Williams.
Elder Eunice was a longtime member of New Mount Joy Holiness Church where she was the Mother of the church. She once served as Sunday School teacher and on the Missionary Ministry. During her youth, Eunice attended the public school system in Gates County, North Carolina. She was a wonderful mother, loved God and her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Deacon Robert Lee Dickerson; her son and seven siblings. Mother Eunice’s family and true friends will cherish her memory forever. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia D. Mason, Sandra Joyner (Darnell) and Lucille Ricks; two sons, Roy Lee Dickerson, Rickey Dickerson (Joyce); one sister, Ellen Smith; two brothers, Paul Thomas Williams (Teresa) and Lemuel Williams (Esther); 16 grandchildren, loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, her church family and many friends.
A public viewing will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 – 7 p.m. A service celebrating Mother Eunice’s life will be held on Monday, Jan. 10, at noon at Move of God Ministries, 221 South Main Street in Franklin with Bishop Arthur Clark delivering the eulogy; Apostle Tyrone Hart is pastor. The committal and benediction will follow in Southview Cemetery.
