IVOR – Luster Hinson “Smokey” Pittma, Jr., 93, of Ivor, passed away Jan. 18, 2022, in his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Louise Felts Pittman and the son of the late Luster H. Pittman Sr. and Lula Clark Pittman. He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Michael B. Pittman and Neil T. Unroe.
Smokey was a retired machinist for NAPA Beamon and Johnson and an avid Washington Nationals baseball fan.
He is survived by his children Tommy H. Pittman (Kay), JoAnn Whisenant and Lou Ann Darden; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; numerous bonus grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildre; and a special friend Bobby Crumpler.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Ivor Cemetery with Pastor Don Roberts officiating. The family will receive friends after the service in the fellowship hall at Ivor Baptist Church. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Wakefield Chapel is serving the family.
