Ginger’s Creative Woodworks store was recently inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony that featured the new store’s owner, city and economic development officials and loved ones and friends.
The ceremony took place March 22, which was also the store’s first day in operation.
Owner Ginger Powell said the event meant a lot to her, noting that the store was “one of my dreams that I’ve been waiting to happen for a long time.”
Her business, which features custom-built farmhouse furniture, signs and accessories, is located at 209 N. Main St. in Franklin.
Powell has been in business for three years, but she has never had a storefront, instead building things from home.
“I’ve just always wanted a store since I started building stuff,” she said.
Ginger’s Creative Woodworks is open Wednesday-Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and it is closed Sunday-Tuesday.
