A first-round matchup in the Region 1B Boys Tennis Tournament was held Monday, May 16, at the tennis courts of Franklin High School, and the Broncos emerged victorious against the Dragons of Appomattox Regional Governor’s School.
Franklin needed to win only five matches to advance to the next round, which will be held on Wednesday, May 18, at Riverheads High School.
Winning for the Broncos Monday were Xavion Perry, Cameron Ridley, Pheno Glover, James Turner and Tyson Townes.
