WINDSOR – William Kevin Whitehead, age 59, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2022 at his home in Windsor. Kevin was a well-respected master electrician and the owner of Whitehead Electric in Windsor. Those who had the opportunity to know and love Kevin feel an enormity of loss, as he had an extraordinary ability to love and provide for his family and friends. He was a man of unshakable fortitude, immeasurable intelligence and endless wisdom. Kevin spent every second of his life ensuring his deeply loved wife and children were cared for, happy, safe and most importantly, he placed his own limitless strength within their hearts. That strength has given us the ability to carry him in our hearts now, though we feel the weight of the world without him here to hold it up.
Kevin was predeceased by his beloved father and stepmother, Billy and Peggy Whitehead, as well as his cherished mother-in-law, Evelyn Gail Clements.
He is survived by his adored and treasured wife of 34 years, Kelly T. Whitehead; his son, USAF TSGT Kris W. Whitehead and his wife, Cindy Whitehead; his daughter, Katelynn G. Whitehead and her fiance, David Mattox; his mother, LaRue Raiford and her husband, Peter Raiford; his sister and brother-in-law, Kande and Butch Cole; and his niece and nephew, Krista and Ryan Cole; as well as countless family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 12 in Wright Funeral Home.
