To the Editor:

As they say, it takes a village to raise a child. Well, it also takes a village for a ball organization to run smoothly.

I would like to thank two school systems for letting us use their facilities to have games and practice: Southampton Academy and Southampton County Schools. Next I would like to thank Tim and Kim Nixon for all their time in the past years; good luck with your future endeavors.

Thanks also to the coaches for volunteering their time to help these ball teams be the best that they can be. Next, we were asked to repaint the concession stand at the academy, and, boy, did our parents really pitch in and get the job done, so thanks to all of you. Thanks to Chet Poland for volunteering to help us with the organization when he does not even have kids playing.

So whether you have purchased a raffle ticket from the kids or are going to come out to watch a game, we say thanks to everyone. When we continue to do what is best for the kids, it sure does make this world a better place to live in.
