Southampton Academy is gearing up for the 2022 football season and Coach Cole Heiderich is at the helm of the upcoming games. With half the team being freshmen, Heiderich’s main focus is on making sure the students gain the needed skills to be excellent football players.
“…most of this preseason has been dedicated toward developing the fundamental skills of the game and getting into playing shape,” said Heiderich.
Likewise, Heiderich also spoke about how he is helping the students develop this season’s skills for beyond the playing field.
“Again, we’re young. So we’re placing a great deal of emphasis on development -— not just from a skill/fundamental standpoint, but in terms of character and work ethic as well. We’re here to develop boys into good men and good football players.”
Finally, Heiderich also spoke on how parents can give their support to their kids in the football team.
“If parents or folks in the community would like to support our team, or any athletic team at SA, they need to fill out the contact form on our school’s website and they will be put in touch with our booster club.”
