CARRSVILLE – William Henry Duck, 80, passed away on Oct. 5, 2022 in Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center. Born in Isle of Wight County, he was a son of the late John Henry Duck and Helen Catherine Lowe Duck. He was also predeceased by a brother-in-law, Len R. Benson Jr., and a nephew, Michael Wayne Benson Sr.

William was a retired farmer and a lifelong “Hokie,” a lifetime Conservative and loved his animals.

William is survived by his sister, Diane Duck Benson, a nephew, Randy Benson and his wife Laura, other family members and his many loyal friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 10 in Wright Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Rosie officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on Sunday in the funeral home and suggests that memorial donations be made to Mount Carmel Christian Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Pam Vaughan, 27836 Walters Highway, Walters, VA 23115 or any local pet shelter.
